We are delighted to announce a limited edition zine ‘In Celebration of J.G. Ballard’ by V. Vale only available at JGB Day at Birmingham City University UK on 29th October 2016 published by RE/Search.
The zine includes Vale’s final interview with J.G. Ballard from October 2008 with exclusive photos, rare cover art, and an essay on Ballard’s aesthetics.
V. Vale is a literary punk veteran based in California USA and has numerous publications that hosts cultural-anthropological explorations, including Industrial music, the writings of J.G. Ballard and William S. Burroughs, feminism, pranksterism, studies of The Body, plus “Incredibly Strange” filmmaking and music. He has been commissioned by the likes of Allen Ginsberg, and Lawrence Ferlinghetti.
A J.G. Ballard champion since 1973, Vale has published a Ballard interview in Search & Destroy #10 (1978), a monograph (RE/Search #8/9: J.G. Ballard, 1984), the illustrated Atrocity Exhibition (1990), J.G. Ballard Quotes (2004) and J.G. Ballard Conversations (2005).
